Homoeopathy a system of medicine was formulated by a celebrated Allopathic Physician Dr..Samuel Hahnemann of Germany. Homoeopathy incorporates the law of nature ‘Similia, Similibus Curantur’ which is the basis on which it treats and cures.
It looked into a holistics wellness prescription, which could be dispensed to changed and guide the community from illness to wellness. During such an exploration of task and to take such a health care facility to the door steps of every individual who cannot afford the high cost and sophisticated medical system, got introduced to Homoeopathic Medical Science.
Homoeopathic Medical College took its shape and opened its door for admission to the undergraduate degree course leading to the award of Bachelor of Homoeopathic medicine and surgery at the end of five and half years after an Compulsory Rotatory Internship.

Pathology and Microbiology. Foresonic Medicine & Toxicology. Materia Medica and Organon of Medicine & Homoeopathic Philosophy.
Medicine*, Surgery*, Community Medicine,Obstetrics and Gynaecology (*Not for examination in II Year BHMS)
Third BHMS : Duration – 12 Months
Surgery and Homeopathic Therapeutics. Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Therapeutics, Materia Medica Organon of Medicine & Homoeopathic Philosophy. Medicine*, Community Medicine * Repertory & Case Taking (*Not for examination in III Year BHMS)
Fourth BHMS : Duration – 18 Months
Practice of Medicine, Materia Medica, Organon of Medicine & Homoeopathic Philosophy, Repertory & Case Taking and Community Medicine. 1 Year Compulsory Rotatory Internship as regulated by Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi and RGUHS, Karnataka.
Eligibility To BHMS Course
Eligibility
1) Shall have Passed Intermediate Examination in Science of an Indian university / Board / Council or other recognized examining bodies with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, which shall include a practical test in these subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually with 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Or
2) Shall have passed B.Sc. Examination of an Indian university, Provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the following subjects : Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) Provided the candidate has passed subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology Individually in the qualifying examinations in PUC or 10+2 equivalent.
Age : The candidate should have completed 17 Years of age on or before 31st day of December of the year of admission.
IMPORTANT :
- In addition to the above the candidate has to qualify in NEET by scoring 50th Percentile of marks for eligibility for admission to BHMS for general merit, 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC.
- Candidates with benchmark disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with disabilities Act 2016 (49 of 2016) the minimum marks is 45th percentile for General Category. 40th Percentile for SC/ST/OBC.
