VTU releases list of topper students and colleges
Murali S, civil engineering student of Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT-Bengaluru) has bagged the highest 18 gold medals of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and became the topper for the academic year 2022-23.
The vice-chancellor prof. S Vidyashankar, addressing the press conference here on Monday, said it’s the highest number of gold medals any student obtained in the history of VTU, that comprises one VTU medal and 17 endowment medals. Meanwhile, he revealed the list of topper students with highest gold medals in different streams and the colleges which secured the highest number of ranks in UG and PG.
Murali S is followed by Krithi S, mechanical engineering student of Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda College of Engineering, Sullai in Dakshina Kannada with 08 medals, Swathi S, electronic and communication of engineering student of ACS College of Engineering, Bengaluru with 07 medals, Sushmitha SV, an electrical and electronics engineering student of Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru with 07 medals and Pooja Bhaskar, computer science and engineering student of BNM Institute of Technology, Bengaluru with 06 medals.
Top five colleges with highest number of ranks:
Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bengaluru obtained the highest 28 ranks, 15 in UG and 13 in PG. RNS Institute of Technology got 21 ranks, 06 in UG and 15 in PG. Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Davanagere bagged 16 ranks, 10 in UG and 06 in PG. UBDT College of Engineering, Davanagere (Constituent College of VTU, Belagavi) bagged 14 ranks, 03 in UG and 11 in PG. Sir MVIT, Bengaluru obtained 13 ranks, 12 in UG and 01 in PG.
VTU PG Centers obtained 16 ranks-01 – Muddenahalli, 09- Kalburgi, 03- Belagavi and 03- Mysuru.
